Helena Industries is proud to announce we received a $25,000 grant from the Gianforte Family Foundation.

The capacity building grant will help us grow our capacity by improving our very antiquated technology infrastructure.

Just like any business, nonprofits like Helena Industries need adequate and appropriate technology to ensure efficiency in what we do (i.e. not waste money), retain qualified and talented staff, and encourage a culture of innovation and creativity.

Ultimately, when we’re able to hire and retain highly qualified, motivated, and talented, staff and we’re able to complete our work both effectively and efficiently, we can most successfully serve our clients.

Most importantly, we can make certain that we’re advancing our mission to provide vocational and rehabilitative opportunities to empower people with disabilities to lead productive and fulfilling lives.

The trust, support, and financial investment by foundations like the Gianforte Family Foundation enable us to sustain and enhance what we do. To us, even though the award has a dollar amount, their generosity is priceless.

According to Russ Cargo, Helena Industries President and CEO,

“A significant challenge for human service nonprofits is keeping up with innovations in Information Technology, particularly in the area of financial management.  The grant from the Gianforte Family Foundation provides us a giant step towards acquiring the technology we need to upgrade our phone system, computers for our finance office, and improve our Internet access and speed.  We are very grateful for this timely and badly needed support.”

The Gianforte Foundation was founded in 2006 by Greg and Susan Gianforte of Bozeman. The foundation makes financial grants that equip people with the knowledge and means to improve their lives and circumstances for the long term, as well as creating lasting changes in their community.

“The Foundation is grateful for the valuable work that Helena Industries is doing and is delighted to assist with this grant,” said Catherine Koenen, Executive Director of the Gianforte Family Foundation. “With the necessary infrastructure updates, we look forward to seeing added success for both the employees and clients.”

On behalf of the entire Helena Industries team, we thank the Gianforte Family Foundation’s Board of Trustees for the $25,000 award, and we look forward to sharing the impact of the funding with both the foundation and the community at-large.
