Work Experience
The Work Experience program gives an individual the opportunity to "try out" a specific type of job for a temporary period of time (usually less than 30 days). During this period of employment, the individual's true interest in the job can be assessed as well as any assistance needed in preparing for the job. The individual's wages during the work experience are paid by Helena Industries, but the person is fully employed in a community setting. This allows the individual to have a real exposure to the job and all that it entails. To participate in this program, the person must be enrolled with the Montana Vocational Rehabilitation Program which is the funding agency for the service.
