Vocational Opportunities 

Helena Industries provides numerous employment options for individuals with disabilities.  Our staff takes great care in finding the right job for each individual to ensure that they experience dignity and a sense of accomplishment from their work.  Through the initial evaluation process each person's interests and abilities are considered as job choices are identified.  An individual may choose to start their employment career in one of Helena Industries' own work areas which include the HI Mail Center, HI Wood Products, Benchmark Textile Manufacuring and HI Janitorial Services.  Each of these locations provides a structured, modern and safe work environment where the individual can acquire valuable work and work related skills.  Working with a Personal Supports Planning team, the individual may decide to continue his job at Helena Inudstries or to move on to a job in the community.  If the community is the right choice, then Helena Industries' Montana Career Development Services will assist the person in finding the right job and, as necessary, receiving assistance on the job to make it a success.

For persons who have multiple and/or severe vocational challenges, Work 1st! may be the perfect job location.  In this area, jobs are broken down into manageable steps so that learning them is greatly simplified.  There is also more staff available in this area to assist a person with all of their workplace and personal needs.
