Service and Support Programs

People who walk into Helena Industries' work areas will see individuals busily engaged using tools and materials found in any industrial work place.  The workers will be dressed in typical work clothes and the products they are making or the service they are performing will be of high quality and useful.  In fact, it may be a little hard for the person to believe that the industrious employees working away before him are persons with significant vocational challenges.   Great!! This means that we are accomplishing our goal to teach our consumer employees to do real work, using real work tasks and procedures, in real work environments.  Our visitors may also be a bit surprised when they learn that the supervisors and managers working along side our consumer employees are not your average work floor leaders.  Each one of them has specialized experience and training in working with individuals with disabilities and is there because their vocational goals include being teachers as well as woodworkers, textile workers, janitors, etc.  They are people who love to make a positive difference in the lives of others!

Helena Industries provides an array of services and support programs to help individuals with disabilities be successful in their vocational pursuits.  These programs include Work Services & Extended Employment, Job Placement, Supported Employment, Job Readiness Training, Work Experience and Case Management.  These service and support programs are augmented by individualized and group activities such as Job Club, Social Skills training and the Learning Center.  All together, the programs of Helena Industries are prepared to help with almost any type of vocational challenge.
