HI Learning Center 

The Learning Center is a unique area  at Helena Industries.  This area provides educational classes, paid work and leisure-time activities. Some consumers come to the Learning Center for an hour or 2 out of their work day to receive training in areas such as reading, money management and basic computer skills.  One of the more popular classes that the Center offers is preparation for taking the written portion of the Montana Driver's license test.  Other individuals choose to spend most of their day in the Learning Center engaging in paid work intermixed with non-work activities.  Some of the paid work tasks performed in the Learning Center include shredding, helping with laundry jobs and doing a variety of miscellaneous jobs that help support our other work areas. The activites in the Learning Center are individualized and are designed to increase independence and self esteem.
